Default Fabspeed intake install

Just installed Fabspeed intake on my 09 c4s and while the sound is "better" seems like there is a decrease in throttle response and car seems more lethargic and heavy. Anyone had this experience? I want to like it but think I might take it off.

Ps I just read new post by member who did a very interesting comparison of stock vs fab and fab showed favorable comparison - confused

It's been debated and discussed a lot in various other threads. Plenty of folks have said they like it, and others have gone to the effort of switching back to stock after doing that. Make of it what you will.

I would say that the airboxes being sealed on all of the stock cars is for a reason... its even sealed on the track cars like GT3 RS so.... make of that what you will.

Did you do a battery disconnect after the install? The DME needs to remap the fuel trims to account for the increase in intake air volume. The easiest way to force this is with a battery disconnect forward about 10 mins then reconnect. Disregard all the warning lights that come on the first time you start it after reconnecting (like PSM failure, etc). Those will go away in the first few miles after you drive the car.

Not doing the battery disconnect method, the DME will eventually adjust, it will just take a lot longer though.

DON'T CLOSE AND LATCH THE HOOD WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED.

It's funny you say this, I was ready to take it off immediately after putting it on - the next two days driving the car seemed much stronger - thx for your input
