best car identified so far on this thread IMO.... OK maybe not at 60K but if someone could get this closer to 50 or low 50s thats one neat car... would just change out the green AC vents. Has the right mods... no doubt. The champion F77 set up maybe the few set ups that does help the value a bit IMO.

is that green deviated stitch?

Nice engine modifications and cool interior. Lol, surely my wife would get over it in 30 days or so . . . right?

Well. . . that somebody is ME!

Long story short, was browsing the web at 1230am this past Saturday and had a double take at the car. Read the description emailed the seller ASAP. To my surprise, he wrote me back around 1245am and I actually called him at 1am. We chatted for awhile and I knew this was the car for me, meticulous owner, mechanic - all the right boxes checked.

I sent him a deposit that very night and come Monday had the car towed for a PPI. PPI passed with flying colors, dealer wasn't so hot on the air box, headers and exhaust (F77 kit) and the suspension - but I think they are all "period correct" mods and I will keep the car in this state. I will be parting with the Champion wheels in the future (hint hint) and putting on some OEM GT3 997.1 wheels I have.

* It's a C2S factory aero kit, I have all the factory options if anyone is interested I can post.

BTW, the car is no stranger to Rennlist, used to be owned by Dunlopnick - he was the second owner. 3rd owner bought from Beachwood in Ohio, shipped to LA and now I am the 4th custodian.

FYI, that stripe was vinyl.

Congrat's... That's a unique 997 for sure! Enjoy!

I do wonder why such a special car has been passed around more than a fifth at a frat party...

Well, if you read a lot of the other threads here - there are some very special 997's that have come/gone from many collectors stables. I don't think the water cooled cars (albeit non GT cars) stay too long in the collector's garage. Example, Dunlopnick's other car - 73' RS.

Eduardo (who also had a PTS 997 Signal green) parted ways as well.

Some people just move on, move into something.... new that's it.

I had a 964 Speedster, bought in 05' sold in 2014. I was the 4th owner. I bought the car w/25K miles and sold with 47k miles - but a lot of people just don't drive the cars (another factor.) The car WON'T be finding another home now, it's joining some colorful friends!

Just noticed the green vents. I did not know you could even get that. You should run the VIN on the Porsche link to see the build sheet.

Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but beware. Not a clean carfax, and has a recent stage 5 overrev. Dealer didn't want it as it couldn't be CPO'd. To the dealer's credit, he noted all of this when I contacted them last week (he is consigning it), but the car was also listed in the here marketplace by the owner with no mention of either of those issues.

Congratulations. Sweet car. Wish I had been in a position to pick it up when I saw it last week.

That link goes to a list of vehicles. Can you post the VIN you mean?

congrats, I love this car.... the shifter looks a little tall in one pic? can yous hare the final buy price by chance?

I think you should remove the airbox and go back to stock. I will happily purchase from you

I have a similar car in my black aero 997 with the Champion F77 mods etc... and the same stripe your car use to have

again congrats on a great looking 997!!!
