Wanted to to a KM//H conversion and found a GT3 instrument cluster for cheap,,, can the switch be done with minimal efforts such as just programing the current mileage.

I am aware of the RPM difference between the 2 cars in addition the car is originally a US spec car switching to a ROW KM/H gauge.

Can it be done?

My car is a 2006 997S 6 Speed

Can't you just change the digital display to KM/h? I never even look at the actual speedo anymore. It's blocked by my hand anyway.

The GT3 cluster has GT3 written on the tach as well.

And swap out the gauge faces keeping your original cluster too. You could even change the color if you wanted. Take a look at FVD Brombacher for examples. There are cheaper alternatives though.
