Default Porsche Battery Charger

Is it normal that the charger gets hot when charging? I imagine so since it is putting out charge.

Thank you.

Depending on the battery charge state the maintainer will start warm-to-hot and will cool down as the battery gets replenished. Initially it is delivering 3A and its internal heat dissipation is at its peak; as the charge progresses and the delivering current decays the internal dissipation decays too.

It should never be so hot you can't leave your hand on it.
