997.2 Battery Tender Plug-In Point
I just picked up my 2010 C4S with 13,000 miles on it and am putting it away for the winter. My question is whether I can use the cigarette lighter socket to plug in my battery tender? On my 996, I've used the cig. socket when I put it away and it's worked fine. But the 2010 is new to me and I want to get it right the first time. Can I use the cig. socket without a problem?
Thanks.

You could also direct wire one of their pigtails to the battery and have a permanent quick-connect whenever you need it. I did this with my '67 Mustang and my lawn tractor. Whenever I want to plug the Battery Tender in, the harness is right there, ready for me.

I use the Cig Lighter. I used to used to connect to the battery directly but that was a pain. Then I used to use the foot-well location and that was also a pain because I had to reach down to the floor. The cig lighter works just fine.
I don't store my car but I can go for several weeks without driving it.
