Default New Escort MAX vs Valentine and Bel STI: Which one now?

Okay know this has been put out there already as to which radar detector is best and/or which ones you guys are using now and most of the time the camps come out to Escort 9500xi or 9500ci or the Valentine product. So I was wondering if any of you guys are considering some of the newer products out there coming out such as the new Escort Max. The new interlinked/live technologies seem especially interesting such as the escort live. Wonder how much GPS linked/social linked function compares to other aspects touted by other users such as directional arrows and stealth technology which are some other brands strong points. Anyway interested in what the group of P-car enthusiasts are thinking and using now a days.

I have the Escort 9500xi and love it. Good range for advanced warning of LEO means no tickets. I really like the learning mode which, after a few weeks, stores all of the false readings that come from automatic doors, thus eliminating most false alarms.

I love my Escort 9500xi as well, pretty sure you can not go wrong with any of them.

I'd vote for the Valentine simply because the company owner/creator is a genuine P-car guy. When your R&D cars include a Carrera GT and a GT3 RS 4.0, how can you go wrong?

My wife and son's have the 9500xi... great city driving RADAR detector. I have the Redline and love it but it lacks the GPS function of the 9500xi. I want the Escort Max but like you I'd like to hear some input before pulling the trigger. So tag.

True! A friend of mine has been to his house and he also owns an 89 mile 959. That's correct. 89 mile 959!!!!!!

Anyways, I use the V1 because it's been proven time and again. They have a really great and informative app out right now on the Android platform coming to iPhone soon which I cannot wait to get!

My 9500xi saved me today, picked up Laser way before I was in sight of the officer. 2 tickets pays for it, not to mention insurance rates going up.

I do not use mine all the time, but it has already paid for itself.

Do any of them not go nuts when you get behind a new Audi with lane collision avoidance detection?

I had an older Escort few years ago, the windshield mount fell apart after 3 years, had to get rid of it. Hopefully the new ones are better.

Currently own a Valentine 1, bought it in 2005, still going strong to this day and you can update the firmware if need be... As far as saving you from tickets, the radar detector is only part of the story... ask me how I know

I had a V1 which was hardwired into my 993 and went with it when it sold. My experience is that the Redline has much better advance warning than the V1, and the advance Laser detection is fantastic. IMHO, the only advantage of the V1 over the Redline is the arrows, I do miss those.
