Default aftermarket rear spoilers

As much as I enjoy my 997 (in capital letters) I am not a fan of the pop up spoiler and looking to change it out. Who has gone to either the factory Aero kit or an aftermarket replacement for the pop up and would you show pictures of you choice. Thanks

If I were to change to anything, and I am not, the only other option (for me) would be to convert to the turbo spoiler.

I have always thought of a 911 as a coupe with a spoiler. I guess it was all the early cars I fell in love with.
I installed a Getty wing on mine
All I had to do was disconnect the rear light, remove the rear tray and install the wing. Very easy maybe 1/2 hour. The pistons still go up at speed but they go up in the wing risers.

Could I see some more pictures from different angles. This is one of the units on my short list. This or a ducktail (without question my favorite Porsche spoiler)

Why did you leave the pistons and motor from the OEM? Removing them would save some weight.

Is the rear light now in the spoiler?

I left the pistons as I did not want to throw a code. Third brake light is still there in the back window.
Sorry the car is so dirty

Your dealer can reset the computer so it will not show a code with the rear spoiler disconnected. Looks like a nice instal. I assume there are no cooling issues? It's a little warmer in Texas

I re read your first post and you said you disconnected the rear light, At firt I assumed it was the center tail light but I now think you were talking about a light in the engine area?

Yes. The oem retractable spoiler has a built in light that has to be disconnected. When the oe spoiler rises it blocks the view of the one in the back window.
