undercarriage protector plate removal
Hey folks.
I've been trying to figure out what the plastic 'skidplates' on the undercarriage are called.
I would like to remove them before I get my car undercoated for the winter. The folks at the shop say they can still spray with it on, but for piece of mind I would like to take them off before they spray.
I can't find any removal guides or tips on what tools are needed, mostly because I don't know the proper name for it!
anyone got any tips on removing the 'undercarriage plates'?
thanks guys!

Undercoating a modern Porsche ?!?
At least you are removing the multiple aero plates underneath inside the wheel wells, etc. and putting them back on. I can see this a nightmare in the making.

thanks for the help folks.
just to be clear, I'm undercoating with a porsche approved wax based undercoating that wont damage any seals or electrical.
The shop said they would be able to spray without removing any of the 'underbody liners', but I plan on it anyways for a better application.
thanks for the link!!
cheers

Where can you find this Porsche approved undercoating? I doubt I'll drive much in the winter if at all but anything to further prevent rust is of interest to me.

I am driving her through an northern east coast winter. aka the Rust Belt.
Lots of salt and brine solution used on the roads here.
I inquired about undercoating at the dealership and they stated that using an oil based undercoating would void the corrosion warranty.
I am using a wax based undercoating. This will help preserve any un-galvanized components found under the car.
The dealership offered to sell me an electronic anti-rust inhibitor, but my research led me to believe these won't work as well as they say it would. Also it cost $700 Canadian from Porsche.
