Talking 997 w/ OEM Porsche Rack & Thule Atlantis 1600XT Cargo Box (BLACK)

Thought you'd guys enjoy.....Decided to change things up a bit and as opposed to going DEEP on my last car w/ engine/performance mods (i.e. taking a 2003 996 C4S and Twin Turbo'ing it with Garrett 3071's), I said I'd like to turn my 08 997 C2S in to a "FAMILY CAR". SO, I added a Recaro Pro-Sport Toddler Seat in the rear for my 2 year old and the roof transport system with Thule 1600XT Atlantis Cargo Box in Black.

Here's additional details on the car.....

08 997 C2S | Factory Aero | H&R springs | Sport Chrono | BMC Intake | Custom Exhaust | Dension Ipod & Bluetooth | 19" Matte Black Rugers | Recaro ProSport Toddler Seat | Dectane LED Tails

Enjoy!!

Thanks Doc. My dad and I are thinking of doing a little cross country trip next year together when he retires, would be really nice.

How is the wind noise with the box on and also when you only have the cross bars on. I'm considering a roof system but am concerned about the wind noise.

Cayennes are too dangerous. Being so quiet and having a numb steering feel you forget your driving. Very easy to fall asleep at the wheel.

I had a roof rack for my boxster. Looked cool tooling around town with the top down and a bike perched overhead. Only problem was going over 50 mph it sounded like a tornado. Keep going faster and you can experience all the tornado classes. Top up wasn't much quieter.

Bc Cayenne's are overpriced Toureg's. Cargo when you need it, true sports car when you take it off. I absolutely love it. Wind noise was minimal with just the RTS and even when the cargo box was on.
