Finally Installed Front Plate
I Got tired of getting tickets or getting stopped by the cops for not having a front license plate. So today, after yet another encounter with the police, I decided to bite the bullet and installed the front plate.
Drilled two small holes in the bumper, installed the license plate inserts ($1.60 at Lowe's) and done with it.

Say it ain't so! The sound of the drill going through the bumper would have made me cringe...... Did you consider the tow hook license plate holder from Rennline?

That is why i went with the drilled holes option. Yes I cringed as the drill did its job. But nobody will be able to see the drilled holes anyway as from now on they will covered by the plate.

If I ever decide to go with a front plate, I will go to a printer and have them just make a vinyl sticker copy of my plate (same material as a body wrap). then I will put it on the front of the car. no holes

Aw... the front plate problem, Its been a thorn in my side!
I have an over zealous small town cop that does nothing but look for violations like this. Its not a question of "if", but "when" I'd get nailed, so I opted for the tow hook mount.
Didn't care for it at first but I've accepted it because I don't have much of a choice.
I just couldn't drill holes!!

No, but neither are the tinted or anti-camera plate covers that lots of people use these days. It's very unlikely to get pulled over for it if it looks like a real plate.
There's a Porsche owner up here who has one (a vinyl stick-on plate) and it's an excellent solution.

Look at the Seine Systems plate mount. Yes you do need to drill two small holes. The location of the holes is on the top edge of the center grille opening. The design provides a lot of vertical adjustment so you can get the plate to the location you like best. If you want to pop it off, very few people will ever know you had a plate mounted.
