Default GTS Wheel Spacers Installed

Just installed FVD wheel spacers on my new GTS with 50 mm offset Carrera Sport wheels/305's. 7mm front and 15mm rear. Actually just installed them on the right hand side of the car to see how they look and fit. The FVD spacers are a quality product and I especially like the caliper clearance that the 7mm's provide on the fronts.

Question is, has anyone installed wheel spacers on a C4S or GTS with the 50mm offset 5 lug wheels? I understand that the older C4's used 17mm spacers with a 67mm offset but I'm curious if there is any issue with extending the new wheeels by 15mm. They 15mm rears look aggressive, but not too ricer, which was a concern, and appear to plum flush with the rear fender.

The folks at FVD, Rhonda in particular, are great to work with and I can return the 15mm's without a problem. I just want to have everything together for the weekend. My options are to leave the 15's on the rear, go 7mm all around, or 7mm rear/ 5mm front. I'll post pics.

Help!

IMO, putting 15mm spacers on a 50mm offset wheel (for a net 35mm offset) is pretty aggressive, even on a wide body car, especially with 11.5" rims. Putting 17mm spacers on 67mm offset wheels gave an offset of 50mm, which was OK for wide body cars like a C4. You are pulling your wheels out another 15mm. But if you like the look you're getting, go for it.

Here are the pics. Left side with spacers, right side without.

Looks pretty good to me, and is very similar to my car. I have 11.5" Champion RG5B wheels on my narrow body. The outside of my tires is exactly even with the top of the fender openings, and I have no problems and love the look. The deep dish of the Champions visually accents the offset even more.

Thanks, I hear what your saying. My thoughts were, right or wrong, that it needed a little something, and that adding spacers to the existing factory configuration was really no different than adding spacers on any other OEM wheel specced car.

I may just go 7mm all around which maintains the same chassis dynamics, albeit with a 7mm increase. Decisions, decisions.

Nice. The Champions are beautiful wheels and I love the deep dish look. Do you know what offsets they are?

That would be an interesting challenge. It is one thing to use longer wheel bolts to reach through the spacers, and something else to extend the center lock device.

I was afraid you'd ask that question. I have forgotten, but I think they are 62mm. On my narrow body with 11.5" rims, they fill it out nicely.

Well, lots of looks but no response to the post , but I'll add a couple of after install pics anyway. I think it looks pretty good.

My first thought was no since it looks so good stock and the wider track is likely to get more stone chips on vulnerable parts of the body. However, it does look a lot better. Beautiful car, btw. Wish I got the 5 lugs rather than the CL's... First flat tire and I'll really wish I did.

Thanks, I am pleased with the results. The last pictures only show the 15mm spacers on the rear because I had a vibration problem with the 7mm's on the front so I sent them back. I am going to replace the fronts with 5mm spacers. The 5mm spacers will allow more of the hub boss/protusion to stick through the spacer and into the wheel and make for a more "hubcentric" installation. The 15mm rears are true hubcentric spacers and I feel very confident of their design and fitment.

The car's rear did seem a bit more planted during some mildly spirited driving this afternoon but that's just seat of the pants 'feel". No regrets at this point.
