Porsche Race Car Classic (and Rennsport IV)
What an amazing Porsche weekend in Monterey! Tony already posted great pics from Rennsport IV (must have just missed you ) in his thread, so I'm just posting a couple more of my favs; Jurgen Barth hustling a 911 through turn 4 on his way to a close second after starting 14th, and the parade lap with Derek Bell driving the 917 and Romain Dumas the Spyder. Also a couple more pics of the 991.
The rest of the pics are from the Porsche Race Car Classic at Quail Lodge. An incredible collection of rare cars from the factory museum and private owners brought together to benefit lung cancer research. Jerry Seinfeld was there with several of his 90 car collection as well as Dr. Porsche (who I got to meet).
The entire 3 days was complete sensory overload.

You're so right. What a wonderful collection of cars there. The Sport Classics were at the Portola hotel. Colm told me about them and I also got to see his red Speedster. Very, very pretty car

Great photos Mike and Joe! Mike, the 1st shot on turn 4 is priceless. I was at LS only on saturday and busy all morning with PCA and missed seeing people I wanted to see. Oh well, ALMS is next May.

I just had to comment on the first shot with the RSR clearing the curb. Bob Hindson Racing in Kansas City always had the killer cars at the DE events at Heartland Park in Topeka. When I lived in Nebraska that was a great weekend road trip. I had Hindson put the ROW suspension on my 96 C4S. Small shop with some really "big" cars! I never met Bob, but he must be a real enthusiast as I saw a variety of cars over the years that often made me consider selling my first born to acquire. Fun to see this picture! Thanks!

Thanks for the comments, guys. Fun to hear some of the backstory on Bob Hindson Racing, McCulla. Barth was literally driving the wheels off (the ground) in his car as he worked through the field but in the end couldn't quite catch the #75 Platypus Porsche sports racer. Fantastic to watch in any event.

Thanks for sharing. I sold my Quail tix due to race conflict at RR. Looks like a lot of cars at Quail were at RR the day before.

I've got "only" 600 pics but I've been busy catching up at work and will have to find the time to sort them out and post some.
I finally ended up going to the Porsche Race Car Classic on Sunday at Quail (it was a Sunday morning decision after feeling completely overloaded from RRIV, but glad I did). Completely different type of event, more like a concours but without the judging. Met a couple older drivers, including Hans Hermann (early driver and whose picture in the famous 1954 Mille Miglia race when they went under the train crossing arm was embroidered on the back of the shirt I was wearing, also in the event poster which is the pic on the entry badge), and Eberhard Mahle. Also met Wolfgang Porsche, who signed both my badge and my Porsche Racing History book I had brought along. Jerry was there too.
Here's a few pics from PRCC, including my badge, Hans Hermann, Eberhard Mahle (blue jumpsuit), Wolfgang Porsche signing a guy's Spyder, Jerry)
