C2 or C4 - less room in C4. With or without CD changer? There is a long thread on spares in the forum if you search. It will probably fit at an angle but you'll have to jury rig a hold down. More important question is will it fit on your hub and clear the brakes...and then you'll have to figure out where to put the flat tire. Lots to think about and as I said covered many times before. The eBay price is good.

I have been searching for one but with no lock. I ready that it MIGHT fit flat down in the frunk which makes it more desirable to me.

the collapsable will fit flat down on a 996, not a 997. On a 997 it has to stand at a angle , but it works well
keep looking they come up on ebay and the classified often

I have that tire in the frunk of my '09 C2S. Fits, but as noted has to lean at an angle and pretty much takes up all the room.

Collapsable would be better but I haven't sprung for that yet as they are more expensive.

Biggest problem would be where to store the flat tire if you have to change it. The rear tire will not fit in the frunk. If you're alone in the car you can put it in the right front seat. If you have a passenger, he/she will have to ride in back.

If you are going to have at least $200. tied up in the purchase of the used tire with no tools you might want to go to LA Dismantlers and see if they have a new tire with the tools and jack.... I think I paid around 250 for a new tire, tools, jack and nylon cover.... It fits just fine in the hood with some room left for luggage and a lug wrench....
