There appears to be no way to turn the radio off.

On the Bose you just press once (not hold) and the radio (or iPod) is silenced but the navigation still functions.

On mine, just pressing once seems to mute the audio source, but after a few minutes, it comes back on automatically. I can't find a way to have the audio sources turned off, except by turning down the volume.

. If you pull the door handle the remote will then work.

If you leave you key in the ignition and disconnect the battery, you will not be able to remove the key until battery has been reconnected.

Unsure if this was mentioned or not but my 997.2 kept flashing it's lights at me when I was walking away from it in a parking lot a few days ago.

I thought that it was just sad to see me go but in fact, I left the frunk unlatched and it was just saying "hey dumb f***, you may want to properly button me up before leaving me alone".

Supreme trivia of the least known kind: This only applies to those who have the Sport Chrono Option.

With that option you have the ability to go into the PCM and either select "daylight running lights" or not. BUT, you only get that option when the VEHICLE IS STANDING STILL. It is disabled while in motion. (Must be a German safety thing). None of this applies if you lack the wart, because you have to go to the dealer to change that stuff for you. That function is also 'keyed' to whichever key you have in the vehicle at the time.

There’s a spot in the glove compartment where you can store a pen, preferably a Porsche one. 😁

Default and that is 25 kph for ROW's...

[QUOTE=Edgy01;8648014]When just moving the car around a little you can avoid putting on your seat belt and getting the annoying gong by keeping the speed below 15 mph indicated. Once you hit 15 the gong will continue to sound.[/QUO!!!!!!

The 997 didn’t come with an aluminum trimmed dead pedal to match the other pedals in the car, so I’m kinda pissed that I had to buy it separately, as Porsche provides it standard starting with the 991 range. Glad I got it though as it now looks right to me...

Wow Edgy, that was a seven year gap for this thread! I haven't had a 997 for almost 7 years now so am not on this forum much anymore (had a 2015 Macan, then my current Audi RS3 daily driver, and a 96 C4S for fun). Seems you've been pretty faithful to that 997 Turbo of yours. Congrats. Keninblaine (formerly keninirvine)
