Uhmmm..... something is not right here. I do not believe that Porsche changed oil filters in mid stream of the 997.1 cars.

If that is a 997.1 kit, it should work on 2005 - 2008 cars. If it is a 997.2 kit, it should fit 2009 - 2012 cars.

Suncoast web site states it will fit 2005 - 2008 cars.

I don't know what to tell you - maybe the parts guy I called at Suncoast was a dufus.

I bought 4 kits from them - used 1, no problem.

The other 3 are up for grabs - my engine was a 997.2 base Carerra.

Looks like they are for a 997.2 based on the part #'s showing in the photo.

Look @ what Spiffyjiff posted. Different #'s for the 997.1 for the o ring & washer. I don't know about the filter since the #'s are not showing.

997.1 is 2005 - 2008.
997.2 is 2009 - 2012.

Your parts are for 997.2 cars.

I just bought one for $17.71 from Suncoast. 2005 - 2008 are definitely the same.
