I think these guys are referring to a discussion on another message board or another thread that they've all been engaged in.

I got that--curiosity made me search the root of this "discussion", but I was referring to the, ah...wording/spelling of some of the posts that are difficult to interpret (and I'm not referring to responses from the regular contributors).
I'm probably being too sensitive, or nit picky, sorry.

Let me give this a shot...

My 06'S clutch, self adjusting, starts to grab pretty close to the bottom of the arc but isn't fully engaged until about 60% of the pedal being released.

Is that what your asking?

Are you looking for feedback on how the clutch pedal feels during the cycling of it? The tension in it? The smoothness of it? Wouldn't this be a lot easier for you to go down to a Porsche dealership and go test drvie another 2010 S? It can't be that hard to find one. Then compare for yourself, instead of asking us to subjectively evaluate "feelings" for you.

Yes, that was exactly what I was looking for. I agree with the other poster about checking out other P S cars. However, that was the issue. They all felt different than mine.

The way you describe it mine sounds about right. The only difference I still have is that the rebound is a lot stronger than the other P cars on the lot. I guess the spring is just tighter.

To everyone else, yes it was code. I was rather pissed on another forum when I was going through many issues with the car (new engine, clutch, snapped shift fork) and was most upset working with PNA. To some it seemed that just pay the money and mvoe on was ok. It did not sit well with me is all.

I just took it camly as a few suggested and got very detailed ahead of an arbitration.

Eitehr way, car is back , all better and fun as hell to drive. Ignoring the rest this is why I bought it and Im happy about that.

Cheers

You might be interested in this thread I started a few years ago. I never did like the way any Porsche clutches felt and I found a solution that worked for me.

Anyone try it on a 997.1 S?

Instead of removing it, just check if it's operating correctly. There's nothing wrong with a soft clutch pedal - the left foot adapts to any sort of clutch and finessing it, will have far more control with a lighter pedal.

Thanks for linking that thread. It was very helpful. I believe the feel of my clutch is how people describe trying to make their 996 clutch a bit heavier. The first one I had was just to harsh but now I think it has a great rebound.

I was still worried since the lot cars all had a feather light feel compared to mine. However, it sounds like this is proper and that works for me.

Thanks again it was very helpful.
