I live and drive in Seattle, if I didn't drive in the rain I wouldn't drive. The 911 is better in the rain than the Volvo it replaced.

Drive it almost every day, including today when it rained.

So for me here in the USA too risky. Back in Germany I'd drive my car whenever...even in the winter but then again those were better times all around!
When I used to be stationed there others in my unit knew whether it would be a nice day or a threatening day by whether I drove my 911 that day or not. You have to stay ahead of things and be prepared to find shelter in a hurry. I wound up using this website as my homepage when living there.

I can vouch for Nugget because I saw him near Greenway at the light and we were both in the rain.

I drive it in rain, sleet and snow. I even drove it in high winds and a piece of flying debris dented the roof.

Tetzlafh, you are not alone here in the Great State of Oklahoma - although I am moving back to Central NJ in about 2 weeks. Jerseyians (-ites?), please feel free to PM me with 93 octane prices and favorite twisty drives.

Here's my backyard in OKC during the Great Hailstorm of 2010 (worth watching):

1999 BMW 740i - outside and totaled.
2009 997.2 - tucked safely away in the garage, alive and very well thank you (pic below)!

Rain??!! You should try it in the snow. My C4S is a blast to drive in the snow with the snow tires. And as other stated, 997 won't melt in the rain.

Well even though some are making fun of the OP, we are in the 3rd page! It is an interesting issue!!

Where can I start? NO! For several reasons stated before:

a) Car is C2S, and even with the electronics, I like to drive it fast, it will slide.
b) A**hole drivers in hoards
c) Roads suck

I will go out short of raining, but I run back when it starts! Jajajajaja!

BTW, we just had ALEX go by here, I would like to have invited all the members who answered YES to bring their Porsche

No rain.

There was maybe 1 or 2 occasions on a day trip that I was caught in a brief thundershower up in the mountains but no, I don't drive it in the rain.

It's my 3rd car. I drive it for fun and for errands like most of you. But unlike many of you I don't drive it in stop and go traffic, and that's the main difference in mileage between mine and cars with more miles of the same year.
