Carbon Canister Disassembly??
Anyone have any insights on how the Carbon Canister is installed and how to dismantle? It looks pretty simple from parts diagram but having issues finiguring out technique.
I want to check the connections below the canister as it seems really loose.
I have a 07' 997 C4S
See pic, it's the rectangular black box in upper left, above wheel well.

Okay, I get this is an old thread but I've spent all morning searching the forums for an answer to this and it seems nobody had posted anything. So after playing around with it for a bit, here's the final answer:
For AWD vehicles (like the one in the picture above), there is only 1 torx screw holding the bracket and it accessible from the other side of the wall that separates the battery compartment from the trunk compartment. Remove that screw and then you can pull the bracket off the wall and remove it from the canister (give it a good tug). I only needed to access the grommet behind the canister so I didn't actually have to remove the canister, this gives you plenty of room to access the grommet to run wires, etc. This also gives you access to all 6 clips on the canister in case you wanted to replace the filter, etc.
Hope that helps anybody else trying to figure this out.
