Tire trailer to tow with 997S
I'm just back from a couple of track days in Oregon, driving down from Vancouver BC. (ORP is spectacular!) For these trips I am dependent on others' good nature to haul my track wheels down for me.
Over the years I have thought about getting a small utility trailer to pull behind my Porsche -- originally a Boxster S, now a 997S.
Questions ...
1. does anyone have experience doing this with a 997?
2. if so, what are you using for a trailer? Resources and sources are appreciated.
3. what is your hitch set-up? I have seen hitches bolted into the frame behind the bumperettes on the rear of a Boxster, but haven't seen anything on a 997. It needs to be removable at the track.
4. any issues, in terms of driving experience?
Thanks for your collective input and advice.

I dont know about a 997 but you might PM mooty he is the track master. I THINK he towed tires to the track OR knows someone who did. The only guys I knew towed their GT2 to the track with a Cayenne TT,
lucky bastards.

This is the nicest "Tire toter" I have seen. Fred Pack, one of the Instructors with NY Metro PCA has one that he pulls behind his GT3.

The strap appears to be holding the chain up so it doesn't scratch the bumper of the car.
