Resale Value - Cabriolet vs. Coupe
Everything else being completely equal (same year, same equipment, same everything other than one being a Cab and one a Coupe), which car would hold it's value better after a few years. Obviously I'm talking about percentage drop in price and not actual dollars as the Cab starts off at a higher price.
If there was more of one type produced than another, than I would assume the one with lower production would hold a higher percentage resale. However, I believe I saw somewhere that Porsche produces almost the same number of Cab's as they do Coupes.
So that being the case, does one hold their value (again, % based and not $$$ based) better than the other?

I doubt there is much difference, at least not enough to influence a decision about which one to purchase. That decision should be based on which one you really want. They all lose a ton a value in the first few years, except perhaps the GT3RS.

id say better % on cab in warm months, better for coupe in cold...
locations warm all year i would go cab, local dealer wanted to buy my car cause demand for cab's they could not supply when it got warm.. now its rainy and cold again and demand is gone.

Although in this market the depreciation on the car actually seems good in comparison to the depreciation on my friggin' stocks, I can't see this as a good investment regardless, coupe or cab.
You are maybe getting caught up in making sure that you get a good car for future owners, rather than getting a car you like? Better to bite the bullet, get what you want at a price you can accept, and take good care of it.

Few years doesn't really matter, but as it ages it becomes more of an enthusiast/purist vehicle, historically coupe's hold value much better.
But then again these cars are all about want, get what you like!
