Default Smartphone Users: 997 Emergency Procedures & Reference Data Online

Hi Everyone,

I have created a mini-website specifically designed for the small screens and download capabilities of smartphones that are web capable.

The data contained in these pages is of course available in the owner's manual, but for those of us who love our phones, I think you will enjoy this alternative way of looking things up quickly.

The subjects covered (so far) are:
  • Porsche Roadside Assistance
  • Lugbolt Torque Settings
  • Tire Pressures
  • Jacking Points
  • Flat Tire – Sealant Use
  • Flat Tire – Inflatable Spare
  • Jump Starting
  • Replacing Fuses
  • Emergency Boot Lid Opening
  • Emergency Fuel Door Opening
  • Emergency Sunroof Closure
  • Emergency Cabriolet Closure

There will no doubt be some bugs in this initial design and I would like to hear the good & bad from various smartphone users. I have tested the site on my Treo 700p and it all seems to format very nicely.

Have a look and let me know what you think!!!!!

Thanks guys.

Let me know if you have any formatting issues or if there are other 'emergency' subjects which you think I should include.

Great idea Dave!

I'll offer an additional topic, Emergency Deck Lid Opening (engine compartment). I don't have a 997 so I don't know if the instructions in the manual would be the same as covered in the "Emergency Boot Lid Opening."

Accessing via an iphone...very useful and thank you. Agree about the humanitarian award.

Just being picky... I would prefer a white background so that if it's a dark night and you're in a jam the device can provide maximum lighting.

Thanks again.

Outstanding!! Talk about something useful.
I never have the manual in the car, so, having a link to the essentials is great

maybe a direct link to the porsche dealer locator in case your are traveling and break down (instead of searching the main p-car website) but i guess, if you can get to the porsche website, you can do this on your own?
