Just bought an 06 Cab S this afternoon...
Last year I bought an 05 Boxster S. My first Porsche and I love the car. One year later I found myself wanting a Carrera S Cab. So after reading up as much as possible (and checking this board multiple times a day for the latest on the 997) I started searching dealer inventories in the New England area.
Friday I found an 06 Carrera S Cab optioned just about the way I wanted, in the color I was looking for (Guards Red/Black). So after working out a deal over the phone today (~7% discount), I bought the car. It's still at the port and scheduled to arrive this week.
Course my wife thinks I'm nuts, as do the couple friends I've spoken with. They thought $56k on a Boxster was crazy, after hearing I just spent $93k on a Carrera they think I should be committed.
Bought the car at Fairfield Porsche in CT (where I got the 05 Boxster last year), the guys down there have been great.
I'll post some pictures once the car comes in. Here's the details:
06 Carrera S Cab $93,000
Guards Red/Black
Black Leather Seats
Power Seats
Self Dimming Mirrors
Heated Front Seats
Navigation
Bose Sound
Black Mats w/lettering
Sports Chrono Plus
Interestingly the invoice sheet for the car shows no charge for the Sports Chrono Plus, but Porsche's website lists it as a $920 option.
Anyway, I'm looking forwarded to getting some seat time in the new car and hope that it exceeds my expectations.

I have a similar story; bought an '05 Boxster new and one year later bought an '06 Carrera cab.
Both are excellent cars. The way the 997 hooks up and accelerates out of turns is outstanding.
Congrats!

You will find it to be the best $100K spent.
I'm wrapping up three weeks in Europe with mine and it has performed flawlessly through 5000 kilometers. You know the rules here,--you must post baby pictures once you get the car!

Yes, a good trade. My '06 C2S Cab came in two weeks ago and I traded in my '03 Boxster S. I just got back from a 2100 mile round trip to Chicago and the car made it a great ride.
The 911 Cab is definitely a completely different car. I loved the Boxster as well, but after putting in 3000 miles in 2 weeks in the 911, I'm not looking back.

Trust me, the wife always comes around, especially when cruising up and down Newbury street (or something similar top down of course) or having the valet park the car in front of a nice restaurant. Women love attention, especially when it is in praise. Also post some pictures when you get a chance.
