997S Techart springs
Just wanted to pass this along to people looking for lowering options on their 997S. No affiliation, I was in the market for a 997S earlier, and had inquired about the springs.
TechArt spring kit for 997 S, part# 097.200.100.009 is currently in stock as of today 03/17/05, $669.00 plus shipping. They will work on all 997 and 997S cars with manual transmission. 25mm drop without PASM (active shocks) 15mm drop with PASM

Btw, do you know if they have "before" and "after" pics? If not, be sure to take some of your car to share with us. More than anything, it's how it makes the car look that matters to me. I've heard on this forum that European P-cars sit a little lower than US models, that it's due to some regulatory requirement that they sit so high. I just want it to have a natural looking stance, like some of the photos I've seen posted here. I hate that gaping wheel well look.

Is it true that P-cars destined for European deliveries sit lower than US bound cars? If so, then Porsche does indeed make them.... and if they make 'em do they sell 'em through Tequipment or other outlets? This is really what I would rather have -- lower factory springs. Anybody have any inputs on this?

I put the Techart Springs on my car (997 w/PASM) this past weekend...Very high quality springs made by Eibach. The car looks and drives great...Got them from CEC. ...this advanced project took us about 4.5 hours and your car will need an alignment.
