Porsche 996 Turbo - Help - engine at low reps
AS a new owner it nice to have this forum :-)
My new Porsche 996 Turbo Is a perfekt car and drive so well. The only think is that at low revs 1500-2500 the car dosent go so smooth as when the reps go over 2500. In 1 gear it hesitates on just a second when you give gas. Cold and warm.
Maby because it 18 years old and have a lot of power?

congrats on your purchase..
causes for stumbling and hesitations could be traced to many things, but more often than not..they are the result of a cracked coil and/or old spark plugs.
so, while it could be many things other than this also, it wouldnt be becuase the car has a "lot of power"
my best advice would be to check for stored codes if you do not have intermittent "cels" popping up ( yellow warning dashboard lights.. ) and go from there. also, depending upon what has or has not been done to the car prior to your purchase?, i would establish your own "new" baseline for simple maintenance items ( eg plugs n coils! ) and in so doing, you might possibly even eliminate what issue you think you have, by simply replacing what could well be 15 year old parts. unless you "know" differently? best to begin "fresh" with "new" regularly replaced and simple maintenance parts. GL w it and enjoy getting to "know" it lol

Do this car have a software tune?
#5
you need to determine how old ( and whose ) tune it is and whether it is multiple file/map capable.. or if it is a "hard wired" tune ( as opposed to flash loaded one ). that's tough to do without knowing the history of the car, even though some of the older tuner co's have a copy of the VIN in their system and will *usually* allow subsequent owners of the car to pay a reduced fee to register the tune in their name and upgrade it etc.
otherwise, to revert to stock, you'll have to revisit porsche.

Dont think it is tune. The bar in 3 gear is showing 0.7 bar up to 5-6.000 ram and 0.8-0.9 in few sekund fra 6000 to 7500.

If you are getting .8-.9 BAR I think it has a tune.
Do you have any fault codes?

A tuned engine is harder on plugs, coils, O2 sensors, and MAF to name some things.
It could be some or all of these need replacement.
Also, a tuned engine may not be all that tractable at lower engine RPMs.
In fact my expeirence with my factory 2003 Turbo with its stock/factory "tune" is it is not that happy at low RPMs.
The Turbo is no low RPMs stump puller like a big old diesel tractor. In fact I find the engine most happy with a bit more RPMs under the same conditions as my N/A 2002 Boxster 2.7l engine. The only gear in which I drive the car at under 1500 to 2K is 1st. 2nd gear I try to keep the RPMs 2K or higher. And higher gears at 3K or higher.
By way of comparison, the Boxster engine can take and without any complaint operating at around 1K RPMs in 4th gear though I don't make a habit out of it. The egnine can take some throttle and accelerate as long as at low engine speeds I feed it the gas with some discretion, some empathy for the engine.

For boost pressure 0.8 bar even 0.9 bar is certainly possible. I've seen both under very hard acceleration most notably at higher elevations like approx. 8K feet above sea level (on a freeway in Wyoming).
However, if you tell me you are driving the car at or near sea level though 0.8/0.9 bar is not normal is my info.
