Default Turbo S Placement

I am helping a friend who has a 2005 S sans the turbo S logo on the rear deck lid install the emblems, turbo S . He ordered that way. Does anyone have the factory spec for the emblem(s) placement?

Thanks!

Thanks! I guess we can approximate where to place the S from a picture.

Y is not the veritical axis in that diagram. The decal is not being placed above the body surface but on it. X and Y are used correctly.

(In machining, for example a vertical milling machine (like a Bridgeport), the left and right movement of the machine tool table is X, the movement of the saddle (upon which the machine tool table rests) towards and away from the machine tool supporting column is Y. The movement of the knee -- which supports the saddle and the table -- up and down is Z, and the movement of the spindle is I forget. A maybe.)

I realize that. It was the point I was making. The engineers used the x and y correctly. Z would be the distance up off the surface. In two dimensions, x is referred to as the horizontal axis, and y the vertical axis; just like in geometry.

I hope this makes sense. The "turbo" and the "S" are set separately so:

For "Turbo"

The bottom portion of the "t" in turbo is 11 1/2" from the left side of the engine lid
The bottom portion of the "S" is 11 15/16 from the right side of the engine lid

The word "turbo" is 1" from the bottom of the engine lid
The letter "S" is 11/16" from the bottom of the engine lid

There is an ever so slight tilt to the S. If you can't get the angle right, I can take another measurement on it that will tell you the tilt. Try it and let me know.

Is the 11 15/16 the distance from where the measurement just touches the beginning of the S?

I am glad I didn't mount the turbo first, per the non-S placement that was given (Y=20, X=332), otherwise it might have looked off centered.

Thank you!

The 11 15/16" is to the curved portion of the S, bottom right.

I'd get a bit of two sided tape or some folded over scotch tape and temporary the lettering in place to see what you think.

Like this, "turbo"slightly shifted left off midline to accimadate "S". Anotherwords, the word turbo is in a different location than the turbo s.
