Saw this through Instagram! Hard to imagine the forces required to do this kind of damage. R.I.P Turbo! Feel sorry for the owner!

I caught that too, did a doubletake & had to hit rewind on the DVR. Devastating to be sure, hope the owner & family are OK.
Guess this will show up at insurance auction? What are the chances someone will attempt a rebuild?

Poor guy. He posted in the local PCA FB page:
Hey guys yeah that "was" my 996tt, USAA just finalized the claim totaling it and settled at 39k. It was on the appreciation upswing and by far my favorite car. Will be talking to the claims agent again to see what I can buy it back for. All the panels were damaged and the door sill was badly damaged because it landed on my air compressor and was all resting on a small block chevy also in my shop. This Valentine's Day sucked.

Hello everyone, yup that is my car :-( Not sure what I am going to do with it now put most likely parting it out. 77k 6Speed, engine was out of the car but ran was getting ready to drop a Sachs clutch in it. Let me know if anyone is interested. I opened the trunk to turn on the ignition to show the insurance guy the mileage. It looks like my MMA cage protected it from getting hit with anything other than stuff in my shop. After the rain lets up here, I will be checking the bottom for any major damage we were able to get it down and rolled back onto the slab after I found all the lug bolts surprisingly! Also my house wasn't damaged to bad and I will get to rebuild the shop back to a 40x60 instead of 40x 20 so I got that going for me.
