Default Thinking about picking this up. Thoughts?

Any input would be great!
Also if anyone is in the San Antonio area that could stop by and check it out that would be awesome.

I'm doing some random google searches in the Area to get a PPI done. (anyone know of a place, please let me know.

I'm located outside of Chicago.. and I would love fly out and check it out but it's bad timing with work and family.

It's not a direct link to the car... But the car is located on page 8. It's a 2003 with 48K (asking a premium..but not in premium condition.)

These guys checked out an eBay car for me back in 2002. Very impressed. Great reputation.

I could fly out and do a PPI but it may not be fiscally viable. Message me if interested.

Thanks,

You might consider getting on the San Antonio PCA regional site and sending a request to their tech rep - he could probably recommend a good local shop for the PPI. I'm from there but have been gone so long I don't know who's around anymore.

PPI is not a substitute for physically seeing and driving the car, or having someone you know and trust see the car and talk you over it on facetime/skype/video call while there.

PPI miss things all the time and give a false sense of security IMO. They are not worthless, but a good PPI does not always mean a good car to buy.

+1
Make a nice weekend out of going to see, drive it to buy if it passes a PPI. $1k for a rental car, plane ticket and hotel is relatively cheap piece of mind, unless $40k for a car is relatively cheap to you.

Voltmeter shows a little low for a running car.
