Decent looking car, but for the 40k range I think you could get a lower mile car, possibly even an x50 for a few more rubles.

Good point. I called a shop that was recommend in the thread. They have been very helpful

PPI miss things all the time and give a false sense of security IMO. They are not worthless, but a good PPI does not always mean a good car to buy.
Yes. I'm hoping to have someone in person to go look at it, on top of getting a PPI.

I will let you know! I've found another one in Denver.. So i'm trying to figure out what one I want to move forward with.

I'm trying! We'll see what I can do. Its a small price to pay when your going to be spending 40K

Mostly just aesthetics on that second one but personally I'd much rather buy a better condition car even if it has some more miles. Obviously they would need to be looked at in person but based on the pics alone the 2nd one looks a bit rough.

yea its didn't seem like anything major. But what there asking for it is a bit crazy in my option.

a good friend of mine is looking at the Blue one today.

I think I would pay 35 for the red one.. and be happy. and maybe a few more the the blue one..

I'm so used to old G bodies.. I'm having trouble coming up with numbers for these cars.

The first one is the right color.

Man, on the second one, is the front left wheel missing a lug bolt or is that just a wheel lock?

The red one has 8 owners, the current owner bought in late Oct. 2016 and placed it on sale in January.

Yea the Red is what i keep going back to.

the Blue one has a lip now... a friend went and saw it for me yesterday. He said it needs paint work. A lot of clear coming off, and the hood needs a re-paint.

Not sure how I feel about all the owners.

So I went to check out the red one and the dealer said it was sold. From what I could gather it was on consignment. Also that dealer was exactly what I though..sketch. They had a bunch of very expensive cars in random states of condition to include spray painted grills and obvious accident damage that they didn't care to fix prior to putting the car on the lot.

Also my GF said an international couple was trying to buy a car but didn't have an ID but the dealer was ready to make the sale... a little awkward.

Oh well I hope the 996 was the nicest thing on their lot compared to the other cars I saw there.

Good luck!

OH MAN.... hum... I'll give it a few days and see what happens.

I'm searching everyday for new ones on the market. I just fell in love with the red and wanted to move forward on it.

Thanks again for checking it out! anything look bad on the car?

The car wasn't there, if it pops up again let me know I'll go over again.

big mistake getting emotional on these cars before you bring them home. keep hunting and don't overlook any red lights, you will pay for it later if you do
good luck, lots of cars out there.

Depends on how they showed up, hell a recent carfax of my own car shows a new owner reported in January but I didn't sell it, get tabs or anything else, wtf???

Also sometimes taken into dealer inventory will show as a new owner depending on how they did paperwork, reported, etc.

I'd compare actual owner service records and time spent under each owner as part of any buying consideration.
