Thumbs up The Porsche 911 Story

Hi,
For those who have Amazon Prime, they have a 2 part series on the 911 Story.
The first series shows the history, PCA events, rally races with Walter Rohrl. The second series talks about the 911 evolution, and the 996 (along with comments about being water cooled and of course the huge headlights). Also showed a sculpturer who created 9 911's out of cement.
Great overview of the 911 history.

in reality a majority of the people interviewed did not help the general opinion of the public on Porsche owners.

I watched it last night. Both episodes were well done, covering the 911 from 901 to 991.1.
Admittedly, I was waiting for the tramp stamp. Her? no. Maybe her? no. Bingo, got to be her... and there it was. I have to admit, that is passion.

What is the public's general opinion of a Porsche owner? A Tight-wad lawyer who wears sweater vests to the county club to play tennis? I hope not. We are a divers group. If you are a PCA member, you are part of the largest single marque car club in the world. Yes, there will be some odd ducks with a group this big. For the most part, I have found Porsche owners to be welcoming, friendly, excited about their car, and the experience their car gives them. Most have finally realized a childhood dream, saving several years to get their car... and, being quite humble about their ownership.
