agree. eliminate the requirement of having to clutch to start the car. having to do so, also places undue stress on the accumulator. one shouldn't need any reminder to ensure you're in neutral, pre-ignition.

Agree. I can't recall noticing this noise in either of my cars. There is enough noise from me moving the gear shift to neutral and turning the key with the fuel pump running followed by the engine starting it must get lost in pardon the expression the noise.

I hear it when I'm waiting at the lights and slowly engaging the clutch to move forward.
