Possible to add another 150-200 HP to my 996 Turbo?
I bought a Turbo '03 996 that was upgraded with G2 Fab Exhausts and Spark Plugs to get to around 550 HP. I would like to add anywhere from 150-200 additional HP? Is this possible..1 and 2) How much am I looking to spend to get it done? Anyone that has had a similar situation please feel free to chime in. See you at the Porsche Experience LA in Carson!!!!!!

If you can already get an extra 130 HP out of an exhaust and spark plug change you're way above the abilities of anybody I've ever known or heard about. So what else does your car have or does it just have about 435 HP?

Talk to Kevin at UMW. But you don't have 550 now, and are not getting to 700-750 anytime soon. Never on a budget.

Yeah, you are dreaming if you think you bought a car with exhaust that added that much HP. My guess is it is also "tuned" or you were misinformed by the seller. Plugs will not add HP, just provide the correct detonation depending on your tune. As mentioned above talk to someone who knows something about the car...careful what you read...it could be "alternative facts"...LOL
There are a number of very knowledgeable folks, Kevin at UMW is one of them.
Lastly, my advice is to decide where you want to be eventually and then "build" to that (turbos, IC's, fuel, waste gates, exhaust, tune, etc.). Of course if you got loads of cash you can do it all at once.

Three Wheelin'
I'm running a very free flowing Kline exhaust with a custom MAF-less 100 octane tune that is probably making ~500hp, with the majority of the gains coming from the tune and gas. Exhaust is very complimentary but it's all about the tune, and as others have stated your Fabspeed exhaust isn't adding 100+hp over stock.
Your best bang for the buck is now a good tune, which is a no brainer for these cars --if in fact you don't have a tune.
How much boost are you seeing? .6 or .7 is stock for non X50 car. .9 or 1.0 bar means your car probably has a 1bar tune.

-Tune from one of the reputable companies such as COBB (Sam at ByDesign who is local here in SoCal, he could also tell you if your car is already tuned if you're not entirely sure), Evolution Motorsports aka EVOMS, GIAC or Ultimate Motorworks aka UMW (Kevin). This will put you in the 500hp range and with a good a good tune, will not only improve power, but will also improve the drivability by changing the power application characteristics.
-Larger Intercoolers, this will add HP and keep things working more efficiently. Often done in conjunction with a tune and will probably put you into the
-Larger injectors and throttle bodies and air intake. More power requires more fuel and doing this in conjunction with the tune and intercoolers should net you into about the 550ish range.
-K16 Billet Turbos (upgraded from the stock K16 turbos), in conjunction with the above should put you at about 610-640hp or about 530hp to the wheels! K16 Billets in conjunction with other additions and good planning have been known to put down all the way up to around 680-700hp, but now you're talking about adding stuff like meth injection and running E85 etc.
-K24 Turbos are another option and depending if you go Stock K24's from the X50 Power kit offered by the factory can offer you as little as 450hp or well over 700 with upgraded K24's in conjunction with other ancillaries. However it is highly recommended that if you intend on going above the 700hp level, start looking at doing internal mods to the engine and this gets REALLY expensive really fast! But once done, can go well into the 1000hp range and above with even bigger turbos such as 3076's!
Here's some good links just to give you a quick idea of power levels and what is required as well as ballpark prices to do them. One thing you really have going for you is that you're in LA and there are a lot of 996TT owners here. Many of which enjoy getting together for some canyon drives. Many of which have done some of these mods and you'd be able to see how different the cars feel at different power levels, helping you figure out where you'd like to go with yours. Also being in LA, we've got some REALLY good well known shops and resources available within an hour of us, each with a slightly different view on what they like to do and what parts they like to use to get you the power you're looking for. Welcome to the madness, it's just beginning! But you'll love the ride along the way
Here's a useful list I've compiled for you:
ByDesign (local in Los Angeles, well respected and has a very strong following)
http://www.bydesignauto.com/collections/996
EVOMS Staged performance upgrades (in Scottsdale Arizona, but they work with many of the shops here in California and their systems can be installed by those shops)
http://www.evoms.com/category_s/1870.htm
EVOMS Signature Kits with Turbo upgrades
http://www.evoms.com/category_s/1872.htm
BBi Autosport (their website isn't as comprehensive as those above, but they are one of the best in the business and only 30 min down the 405 in Huntington Beach)
http://bbiautosport.com/new/index.ph...sche/996-turbo
GMG aka Global Motorsports Group (again not as comprehensive as above, but also one of the best in the business with an extensive racing pedigree and also only about 30 down south in Santa Ana.)
https://www.gmgracing.com/store/inde...bo/engine.html
Stuttgart Performance (another great shop with an extensive racing pedigree)
http://rss.rpmware.com/about-us
Markski 911Tuning (Markski is out of state but can get you the parts to be installed by another shop locally. His Power kits are known as some of the best out there and he is extremely helpful and easy to work with and has been instrumental in the power upgrade development of the 996TT since the beginning. The website is also pretty well put together.)

These are just a few of the very good shops in and around the Los Angeles area. There are a few others such as Callas Rennsport as well. We're very fortunate to have a huge variety of Porsche resources. Browse the links and give a call or email them and you'll be able to truly get the info you're looking for and start planning your upgrades! One good thing about the 996TT is that upgrading them is pretty modular and you don't have to do a ton of stuff at once. You can do them incrementally and really enjoy each step and the added power each one gives you. If when you talk to any of the above companies, make sure you tell them that you learned of them from Rennlist. Best of luck!

dang, that was a helpful post..
only to add the option of hybrid 16/24's to your list. which are the sweet spot for virtually zero lag blasts that will put you near 550 crank with a cpl supporting mods. eg 5 bar, etc. etc. and keep you well within the comfort zone for a "stock internals" car.
