HardHitter, do you have a subscription to Panorama magazine? If not, i can pm you a couple 996t's from the last issue classifieds. Maybe something there will interest you. Let me know and I'll shoot them over.

Three Wheelin'
My Turbo came from San Diego. As did the Viper I owned back in the day...

There was only 1 "sane" car in that list (The silver for $43) and it sold when I e-mailed the seller.
The other one I e-mailed is the black car but the owner never gave me any further details, just said "Stage lll about 575 HP, lowered , three peace custom wheels and carbin fiber package more than 30.000.00 invested."
Like I posted in the other thread, I'm not going to buy a car from someone who doesn't want to put any effort into explaining their car (e.g. I asked for mod details expecting a list such as like k16 billet turbos, accessport, etc.) Plus, the guy is asking $64k. At that price, I'll get a 997.

Full bolt on 996 Turbo (turbos, suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust, IC, the works!) with 30-50k miles range from $45-$50k
To get a 997.1tt, with maybe just tune/exhaust you're looking at low 60's with 50-60k miles.
I don't see it being worth spending an extra $10-$20k for "less" of a car mod wise and with higher mileage.

It'd be great if I could get a 997.1tt but I don't think it is worth the money

just wondered..
add: in many ways also its laughable to me ( to support your point! ) since my car w 138k miles is only worth mid to hi 20's! will still shellac a whole bunch of 997tt's lol. stock one's anyway...

I've received a lot of great potential cars that I may pull the trigger on if I get impatient, but for now, I'm still looking for that ideal black car!

I don't blame you for holding out until you find a black one it IS the ultimate color after all!!!! Btw, as soon as I get the Jan issue I will send you the listings to check out.
