Do you guys ever use an Optima battery. That's what I had in the 912 and is was fantastic.

Optima's are a good choice but you'll have to find a way to clamp it down. Here's one product that works:

If you use this tray, the Optima Red Top 34R is the battery you want. The positive cable may not reach the terminal on the 34.

not a Optima fan, but use whatever you prefer...my dad's 6TT came with a bluetop, removed it and installed a proper H7

Bluetop is primarily for boats and RV's. Redtop for automotive starting applications.

Are used to use Interstate batteries but the past couple have died prematurely so now I just go with the Everstart Max from Walmart. So far so good.

If you do some research you'll find that most of the battery brands out there are actually made by Johnson Controls.

If cost is no obstacle, Antigravity batteries are much lighter...

I’m on my second red top and it’s lasted almost 9 years still has some life lives on a ctek to keep it topped off. My first red top only lasted 5 years but it was on a standard charger which I’m sure was overcharged and shortened the lifespan.
