Default Best outdoor cover for 996 Turbo

Since I have to keep my 996 Turbo outside, I'm looking to purchase a cover for it. I had an original Porsche cover that lasted 6 months before turning to dust from the sun.

What does the forum recommend? A link to where I can buy it would be great as well.

It depends upon where you live. I'm in Silicon Valley and have a covering silverguardplus that I'm pretty happy with. Great for sun and rain. One minor issue is that pollen permeates the cover.

I've used calcarcover.com for 10 years now. I'm in the S.F Bay area and their Weather Sheild fabric is perfect. Oldly, the stitching gives out long before the fabric. I get about 5 years out of a cover in this climate.

I don't leave my P-car outside, but I do have another car I leave out. I also use cover king, but then I park it inside a cover that zips completely shut. Looks like this.

Following... my townhouse community decided not to put our covered parking back after repaving so in addition to killing some property value it has kind of screwed me on storage as well.... Have been thinking about renting some warehouse/storage space, but that makes it a pain when I do want to take the car out to have to drive somewhere else, drop off a car, etc.

I've heard that a lot of car covers do more harm than good due to rubbing on the paint and trapping moisture in....

I bought a lift and stored both cars indoors.

I've used the following:

Coverking - Silverguard and Mosom
Covercraft - Reflectect and Noah

Great for outdoors and generally lasts 3-5years.

I don't have a garage and have had to store my car outdoors under a cover for the last 8.5 years. The Porsche cover is a CoverKing Silverguard plus and they generally lasted me around 2-3 years each. First issue that happens with them is the stitching starts to come out and you can repair for a while but then fabric gets brittle eventually and tears. Other downside of this cover is mentioned above and is that it allows fine dust/pollen through so you pull the cover off and the car is just covered with fine dust.
Last year I got a second hand CoverCraft HP cover and it seems to not have the issues of the Silverguard plus cover. Not even a hint of stitching issues and the cover is dust/pollen proof. Pull the cover off and the car is spotless and dry.
