Noticed you mentioned your door locks aren't operating. Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked the fuse in the immobilizer itself?
Good call I will check that - i took the door lock button off when gutting it so i thought I connected it wrong but I tried them all

Nice work on the build and thanks for posting! If you have the carpet out, might as well remove the sound deadening which is another ~10lbs. Lots of fun with a heat gun or dry ice

Is that a Hooked on Driving sticker I spy? If so, are you on the west coast?

Ugh don't even want to think about that project - maybe over the winter the sound deadening comes out.
Yes its an HOD sticker - I am in NJ though

I did the sound deadening. Amounts to 14 lbs. Can't tell any difference in sound level. Good mod.

Congrats on getting the car where you wanted it but why take such a nice example and strip it down to a race car? Seems like a shame.

This car had accident/theft damage previously so not a clean title . The perfect example to do it on actually.

Porsche's are meant to be driven and raced. I applaud those who actually track their cars vs. putting some over-sized wheels on it and taking it to cars and coffee..

Like other cars are not meant to be driven?

Seems to me that if indeed the Porsche 996 Turbo were "meant to be raced", then Porsche wouldn't have excluded warranty coverage if the car was tracked/raced.

My take is that Porsche's are meant to used however (legally) owners want to use them.

I didn't intend on this to be a debate thread Dock - so start another thread to do that. For the 2nd time now this car doesn't have a clean title due to theft and vandalism so it is the perfect platform
