Have to know why the first 2 failed a ppi.

Remember these cars are 12-15 years old. It can't be perfect. Anyone who says their car is perfect is lying.

Interesting; "messages" and "signs" are part of the process you use in deciding what car to buy? Did you see any Hondas on the drive to the auto parts store, or to the Dollar Store?

Hang in there herr doktor. Don't be in a rush to buy. Be comfortable with your decision. There are plenty of cars on the market. The search is half the fun.

I searched for 18 months before I bought my '99 C4 aero. Then after I sold it (unsolicited to someone who saw it in the auto museum parking lot), I spent 6 months looking for my '02 996tt X50. During both searches, I got close to buying several different cars, but something didn't come together with them - and I am very glad as I was/am very pleased with both cars I purchased. During the NA 996 search, I did 2 PPIs and tried to do a third (seller refused to let me do it at the shop of my choosing, so I walked). Did not buy any of those 3 cars.

Right now is a GREAT time of the year to buy. This is the start of the buyers' market season. Take your time.

I did an Autotrader search and I thought there were about 30 for sale, could be wrong.
OP could be suffering paralysis from analysis.

Hopefully a reasonable one will be found and we can move towards some beneficial information.

Agreed....no rush and take your time for the right one. I searched for over 8 months! Just try to pull the trigger before spring.
