Default Spark Plug Access

Do any of you folks know if any of the spark plugs/coils can be accessed easily W/O removing any other parts of the car like the bumper?

3 and 6 are fairly easy from underneath 2 and 4 are much more difficult from underneath as they sit just behind the mounting bracket. 1 and 3 have very tight fitment from underneath as well

I would remove the bumper/intercooler as its fairly easy/quick and makes the job easy. Remove taillights before removing bumper.

I did all the plugs without removing anything but the heat shields when I first bought the car.
Not something I'd do again. Good challenge if you really don't want to remove the bumper, just make sure you have a full assortment of tools, 4-6 hours and like skinned/swollen hands!

It actually saved me time to just pull bumper and ICs off vs trying to do it from the bottom. It is a huge PITA from the bottom.

It takes 15 minutes to remove the bumper and ICs. Once off it takes an hour to do the plugs and another 15 minutes to put the ICs and bumper back on. An easy under 2 hour job start to finish...

I just took the wheels off and rear most fender liner, and the heat shield on each side that covers the coils. Replaced all the coils and plugs in about two hours, taking my time. Used some interesting combinations of wrenches on a few of them. Granted, I had it on a lift so that made it a lot easier.

I appreciate the input and there is a dirth of information on the proper way to replace coils and plugs by removing the bumper. My car runs very well and idles perfectly, but I do not know when the plugs were last replaced, so this is why I want to inspect a single plug and coil to see if I can get insights on their possible condition. I will then determine if I need to replace them all.

Thanks

John

John,
If you do not know the history, buy the plugs and replace...under $50 and 1 hour to do them all, easy job....don't waste your time by making an easy job, hard

This.

I removed the bumper/ICs and changed my plugs in the parking garage at work without even having to jack up the car... It seems like a lot of work, but it is so simple.

Will add to the list - just did this; removed rear bumper (very easy), rear fenderliners and the turbo heat shields and was able to get everything done - i loosened the exhaust as well so I could gain more access (i have kline with cat-delete. Some hand acrobats is needed but not overly frustrating.
