Default Intercooler hose O-Ring lube?

Going to be putting the intercoolers back in this weekend after pulling them to re-do plug and packs.

I got new O-rings and new clips for the boost hoses, any thoughts on using some oil or lithium grease on the o-rings to help with the seal? Or put them in dry?

I put a slight amount of silicone spray on mine but it's probably not needed.

Thats what I was thinking to, I didn't want them to drag and the roll or tear as I put them in the sleeve.

KY has never let me down.

Seriously, i design o-rings into things every day. Lube helps with initial install and makes them last longer by allowing them to seat properly and abrade less.

Most professional techs are going to use Sil-Glyde. I personally don't use Sil-Glyde because it drys out and the O-rings can be hard to separate in the future from the sealing surface. I generally use Permatex High Temp Ceramic Brake Lube which is O-ring safe as when it dries out it still keeps the joint lubed and that makes future work a whole hell of a lot easier. I also use this to lubricate hose joints where a clamp will be used again to aid in any future repairs.

Thanks guys.

I ended up using a synthetic marine grease that is teflon based. Seemed to work well, definitely helped with assembly.
