I've broken both the 996 and 997 version of the hubs. Always the rears. It's the shock loads combined with the lateral loads and twisting forces acting on the hubs. Stiff suspension does not help either. Also blew a gearbox output shaft. That one didn't just break, it exploded...

It's on the agenda this week Rob. I've been busy with work and getting everything else sorted on the car. Did 3 days at the track this past weekend testing the new wheel/tire combo and the results are simply amazing, one of the best upgrades from a perspective of dropping lap times that I've done to the car. Hubs are next and I have to get that done. The stock ones won't last...

Thanks Rob. It's fun to see how far a 15yr old platform can be pushed, while remaining street legal with a license plate and emissions..
