Put a deposit down yesterday on a 2001 996tt. Porsche dealer in my area just got one in. 3 owner, 49k miles. Seal grey, 6 speed, sunroof, non nav. Paint and wheels looked good. Had 3M front end/mirror protection. Was serviced at this Porsche dealer for the last 7 years. It isn't technically for sale yet, so I dont know every detail. It has some sort of aftermarket exhaust, but everything else I can see looks stock. They will be servicing it this weekend and getting it detailed.
Sounds like they are asking 43k. Seems to be a fair price for the mileage...What do you guys think?
Edit: Went with a different car. 2002 Slate Grey 6 speed. 41k miles. Update: Pics of the car!

Thanks! I am definitely not an expert on 996 prices. Been a BMW guy up until now. I am hoping they put some new tires on it and potentially do the brakes. Would be nice knowing it was recently gone through. I need to do some more research on DIY on these cars. I typically do as much as I can myself.

I have only had the turbo for a few weeks . It is a lot faster obviously and sort of a super car compared to the m3. The m3 is a lot more playful on the street with the low power and low grip so I will miss the drifty-ness. I had a V8 e90 m3 so that was a bit closer speed wise to the turbo. turbo with awd seems like it has a bit more of safety net over the V8 m3(I spun it off the track once).

Do you think this price is fair, given you just bought the same car?

Yes and no. The other day I slightly overcooked a corner at lime rock and took just a feather off the throttle and immediately the rear came out to play. Nothing major and I had PSM on, but ultimately it's still a rear engine car...
