Default 996tt with X50 issues?

Looking at a 2003 with X50. Any special issues with the X 50 that I should be aware of? It has 65K on the meter. Thanks for any and all input.

It's got a major issue, which is that it goes really, really fast

It will make you find excuses to run errands for your lady. You'll be happy to pick up tampons and/or depends, depending on age.

I'm also looking for one. This is my first post. Anyone looking to trade a Weistec supercharged E63 AMG?

fantastic car. the k24 lag is annoying until it hits "its" stride. though mine kept me amused for a few years with rarely a dull moment.

dont pay any more than $3k for the "premium" of it being an "x50".

Stock tune is rough compared to the UMW I did.
Just get a good idea of what its previous life was like and all the records/history you can.

PPI from somewhere that has seen these before and you trust.
Set aside some $ for unexpected repairs/maintence.

I like the anticipation. It means you know something good is about to happen.

Do I not have enough posts yet to have a signature?

One is that it makes you "boost" all the time = going to jail

Had mine for almost 10 years with 74K miles and no issues related to being a X50. Other minor issues yes but none related to turbos.

Standard issues for the turbo and x50 should be no different, accumulator, clutch slave, front radiator seepage, cooling pipes can come apart,
