Is this a window reg issue
My passenger side window will not drop when the door opens. You can push it down and it comes up when the door is closed. Is this a sensor or a window reg issue???

Sounds like the cable has some slack in it. If that is the case I have seen some folks use a bicycle cable adjuster to take up the slop. If I had that problem I would replace the regulator.

From reading it has to be cable related.
From a previous post:
No, it wasn't any of the micro switches, which surprised me. And the way to determined that is to listen to the door from the outside when the handle is lifted. If the door handle micro switch is working, the window tries to lower and you can hear the motor. If you can hear the motor, the next step is to carefully press down on the top edge of the window. If the window lowers the 10mm it's supposed to, the issue is cable related. The issue is most often found on the drivers door on high mileage cars where the cable has stretched and worn from use.
As we disassembled the door to do the repair, it was evident we were the first to take the panel off. There was no sign of a previous door repair or any accident damage. The regulator assembly clearly showed signs of an issue with one of the cables. I suspect at some point in the car's life a dent repair effort may have happened and this cable was accidentally kinked. I can't think of anything else that could have gotten into the door and damaged the cable. I doubt it left the factory that way.

I had this problem and it was the regulator. Note: easy to see if it is the switch or the regulator. If you pull the handle and hear the sound of the motor without a movement from the window it has to be the regulator....

Same issue here, it was my latch assembly.

I think that the fact that you can push the window down indicates that it is a window regulator. I replaced two of them in my 996 C4S.
The replacement isn't difficult. It's a little time consuming to remove the door panel if you haven't done it before. There are good tutorials online. The hardest part is proper window alignment when you reinstall the glass.

If either door handle is pulled and the window fails to drop that is almost certainly a door handle switch issue. Almost certainly unless the window fails to lower or raise properly when the lower or raise buttons are used. In this case then it could be the window regulator at fault.
Furthermore if the window drops but after the door is open goes up again that is a door latch switch problem.
If the window drops feebly, twitches more than drops, that is almost certainly a window regulator problem.

Well the issue seems to be almost equally represented on both ides (Switch vs. Reg).
Pull door handle (inside and outside) and it does not drop. If you push the window down manually and close the door it comes up properly. The windows travel when using the up/down switch is smooth and quiet. It is an 03 with 80k miles. Not sure if it has been replaced before.
