Both the Finspeed and Forgelines look good. I don't see where the Finspeed model I like (the F5 Spyder) is offered in a 8 x18". It seems a 9" is the narrowest they make. I'm not sure a 9" will fit on the front of a TT.
If I'm doing my math right, both Finspeed and Forgeline are within $500 a set of the price for the HRE P40SC's.
Lots of choices but I don't see getting anything under $3000 unless I get real lucky and/or as suggested be I remain very patient.

Paid 3600 for a set of custom configured 18 inch three piece forged wheels made by Modulare, uses original center caps and they have nice lips and use stock size tires.
The price included shipping negotiated at the time of transaction.

I did not try contacting OZ directly, have confidence Tirerack did everything possible, deal with them a fair bit and always a good experience. Maybe I should have...
All the good parts are $$$$, even my real car-buddies shake their heads, lol

Rob, I'm really surprised they didn't help you out. That sux. I was about to ask if you got them from Tire Rack, seems like they are the biggest seller of them here in US. Have you tried contacting them directly?
The Finspeeds do look awesome. I like the F110 as well, I'm really liking 10 spokes right now (running 10 spokes on the CTT and 996TT right now). I just wish they were a little less $$$ .. over $4k Even if they were $3999 at least it would sound better lol...between the seats that I want and a set of forged wheels I'm close to $10k ...this car is going to be the end of me...lol

the only tire I've run on anything other than the twists was 235/40 in front in gt2 sized wheels!. but also 235/40 on stock twists X 7X15 H&R spacers and springs. was perfect and cheap! suited me perfectly! lol. i prefer the wider stanced ( Gt2 ) wheels absent spacers obviously! sorry. except for the 9 in front. that was a 9 wheel with a 40 offset running a 235/40/18 also.

They are 18" phone dials for my 928S4. I think they would look incredible and be a significant upgrade from my current OEM manhole covers. Problem is, they are basically custom made and looks like the pricing is $5,000 for the set. That's nearly 40% of the value of my 928, so I don't see that happening.

OZ racing has a huge quality difference between their motorsports wheels, motorcycle wheels and the ones tire rack sells.
buddy bought 2 sets of oz 18" wheels only has wore out the tires halfway went to rebalance the wheels out of curiousity and the run out was terrible. so he grabbed his spare un used set and 2 of those were so bad they just threw them in the trash.
i ran oz wheels on other cars in the past with good results, but the ones for porsches are not holding up/very strong

I spoke with the owner at Finspeed and priced out some forged satin black F5 Spyder rims, bead knurled with a Porsche engraved center cap. If I decide to pull the trigger on a second set of rims, this is the way I will go. I like the design, weight, and quality. Not inexpensive, but less than the HRE's I was considering.

I suggest you also look at Modulare, cheaper than HRE, just as good forged quality, multiple styles. Of which you can configure them to your taste. Use the configurator and cofigure to your liking ( color, of all parts of the wheel, select 1 piece forged 3 piece forged etc.)

I don't know much about Modulare or Finspeed but I can say I have never once seen them on any of the pro-racing cars at the track.
Almost every team with 5 lugs are running Forgeline wheels right now in Continental Tire Challenge and a good number in PWC. HRE was represented last year with a few cars and I am sure this year will be the same. HRE was not represented at all at the higher single lug classes, Forgeline had a number of cars running last year including AJR/Wright Motorsports. OZ and BBS pretty much rule the single lug cars at the highest level with most being BBS.
So, at some level if your going to be racing I think its worth the money to have some peace of mind for a proven wheel myself. That isn't to say that Finspeed or Modulare are not every bit as good just have not seen them proven in the only way that matters personally to me. On the street I am sure absolutely without a doubt almost any wheel will be fine that is on the market and anything that is a fully forged billet wheel will be overkill and a great DE wheel.

I agree, Forgeline or BBS would be my no-brainer 'go-to'...Fikse seemed to be a good choice as well but think their business more-or-less fell apart a few years ago
