Bought my first 996TT 2 months ago. Black on Black 2001 with 38K miles that I drove back from Tampa to Houston. This forum has been a great DIY resource. Changed oil when i got back, had the plugs/coilpacks changed, and I'll be doing the brake/clutch bleed next as well as new front pads/rotors. Having a blast driving it!

Nice car. What kind of double din stereo do you have and how do you like it? I am looking to upgrade the awsome porsche cassette deck in my 02 tt.

Default Screen

My car has the Kenwood DDX771 - this has been discontinued despite it being a great product. My buddy with an 02 turbo just put the still in production Kenwood DDX672BH in his car and is equally as pleased. Touch screen is very responsive, blue tooth calls are clear, and connectivity for bluetooth music is easy. He uploaded a picture of the porsche logo in the background as shown below.

Very nice! Love the aluma-look gauges. I have a Kenwood double DIN unit also and really like it.

Congratulations!
That looks like a clean purchase.
Do you know what kind of wrap was used for the console?

I do not know the details on the carbon fiber wrap. It seems to be of very good quality. I will update the thread if I can conclusively locate the brand.
