Thanks for the help guys. I'm thinking its probably just a low battery. Hopefully when I start it this afternoon there won't be an issue, and I'll ask the shop to throw a tender on it.

this is what you want...plugs right into ciggy lighter and is the same as the one Porsche sells for a bunch more. I bought mine on Amazon for under $50.

Do you need the tender even if you drive the car every three or four days?

Also, store in the back of your mind in case the electrical gremlins persist that a failing ignition switch will cause all sorts of wonky stuff to happen. Cheap and easy diy fix.

Tender over 5 days, if you're car is losing charge before that then you got battery issues.

given the extravagant drain on the cars battery while parked and alarmed, it is best to frequently use the trickle charger to maintain optimum battery health. these cars use voltage while sitting AND running, the likes of which were heretofore unknown to me, and most long term owners have long since discovered the wisdom of regular use of a trickle charger. but to answer your question, short trips every few days are NOT enough to maintain it properly. trust me on this, and you'll thank me later. get the ctek3300 everyone is raving about. i use it every couple of weeks for an overnight charge. whether it needs it or not.
