Default My new to me 996TT. Modding slowly but surely.

Hello all,
Here are some pics of my 2002 996 turbo I picked up recently. It is a high optioned car and I am loving it so far. Current mods are:

Tubi exhaust
Hyperboost diverter valves
Cobb Stage 2 tune
BMC Filter
Short Shift kit
Forgestar F14 Super Deep Concave wheels. Textured gunmetal finish in gt2 sizing
Kenwood Excelon DDX9902S radio upgrade w/ apple carplay
KI Studios Turbo stripe kit

Coming out of a 997 gt3 that I use to use on street and track, the turbo is a lot more street-able. I do miss the gt3 in some ways, but I now have a dedicated spec boxster race car for the track which is a lot more affordable to run.. The turbo makes more sense as a street car for me and the power is addicting!

Next mod for me will be to lower the car. I just ordered a set of H&R sport springs.
The last pic of my car with the boxster shows the wheels that it came with. They are currently for sale in the classifieds section if anyone is interested! I just swapped them out for the forgestars this weekend.

I will update this thread with more pics once I get the car lowered

Nice, keep going on the mods. Once lowered will look sweet.
I would ditch the turbo decals (everyone knows what it is) and the window decal too.

Good luck

Ive got decals on my car and i quite like the look--each to their own.
Love the spoiler. I have H&R springs in mine, you'll like them. Except for new wheels we seem to be on the same path

Default Nice; and congratulations.

Other than the lowering, I'd leave it as it is. I like the look.

I've been going back and forth on whether to order some Forgeline F14's to save my stock turbo rims. I need another set of rims around the house like a hole in the head. I have 8 extra rims with tires now (winter sets for the M5 and X3). My TTS came with all seasons so I've been looking at the F14's to mount summer tires on.

We'll see.

Updated pics lowered with H&R sport springs.. I realize the turbo decals are not for everyone, but for now I like them. Lowering the car really helped improve the overall look of the car in my opinion.

Congratulations on the car!

It looks great with the new ride height.

I have always been a fan of turbo aero kit cars.

I think those are Forgestar wheels, not Forgeline wheels.

Either way, looking good.
