I'll bite on this one.. The STOCK 996 Turbo Fuel cut/RPM limiter is set at 6750 Period.. On the stock engine if you push the throttle pedal to 6751 you will get fuel cut.. In the factory CODE, you have the binary 6750 limit. Why would you have a non enforced limiter set at 6750, that does not give you any FEEDBACK or fuel cut at 7000RPM??? If you hit the fuel cut you will trip Type 1's at 6750..

Now, most tuners will raise the limiters and type 1 and type 2 range counters....

Then I stand corrected if this is the case.
When I first had my car I was able to take it to 7000k no problem.
I believed it to be stock....
