Default FS: OEM Porsche 997GT3 Carbon bucket seats

I am selling these very rare OEM 997GT3 carbon seats for a customer. Here is the description and link straight from Suncoast Porsche who sells these for $17900 (retail is $19859).

I am asking $9900 plus shipping (I estimate shipping to be $200 per seat insured via Fedex).

Derived from the Carrera GT and made from genuine carbon fiber. These are the same seats which are optional in the European market, commonly known as the 997 GT3 seats. Weighing 24.4 pounds each, they are among the lightest seats available on a standard production car. They offer a valuable weight saving over the standard sports seats of approximately 53 lbs.

These come directly from Porsche, featuring a Carbon Fiber back, Black Leather Seat with Alcantara center cushions. They come complete, with the shells, rails, and sliders.

Fitment:
Boxster 986 (all versions) - 1997-2004
Boxster 987 (all versions) - 2005-2012***
Cayman (all versions) - 2005-2012***
Carrera 996 (all versions) - 1999-2004
Carrera 997 (all versions) - 2005-2012***

*** for models with Advanced Airbags (2006-2012), the seat airbags & weight sensor will have to be disabled by your local dealer. This will deactivate the airbag warning light on your instrument cluster.

Now for the full disclosure. The condition of the seats is excellent. They are used but the leather is without any rips or tears. I would say drivers side is 8.5/10 and passenger is 9.5/10. The carbon shell on both seats is likewise excellent with only the passenger having a couple of very small scratches on the back. They are about 1/2 to 3/4" long and just deep enough to catch them with a finger nail. They are scratches in the clear coat and I would say any competent detailer could take care of them. They are basically invisible and you really have to be looking for them. You can see an unclose picture of them below.

The seats do not come with the seatbelt pegs and bolts that fit into the aluminum side mounts. This hardware is available separately from the dealer. I am not sure why, but the drivers seat has an aftermarket aluminum extender bolted between the seat rail and the side mounts. I am assuming the previous owner was very short and wanted the seat to be higher. These extenders can be removed simply by unbolting them from the seat rail. The drivers side seat side mounts also have a third set of mounting holes drilled into them for more adjustment (stock the seat mount has two). If one wanted to replace the seat mounts on the drives side, they can also be purchased from the dealer.

Not saying these aren't worth it at all, but I just can't believe what some people will pay for some of these Porsche options when new. Amazing looking seats and a price to match.
