Default ECU flashing

Hi guys. I m looking at a car with an ECU that has been flashed by a well known company. I don t really like these types of mods and wonder if anyone has any experience with returning the ECU to stock.

I would call the original company that did the ECU tune to have it flashed back to stock. They should have a record of the OEM file that came off the ECU.

there's a whole lot more you can "do" if/when the car is yours than if you're only just "looking at it".

you cant do anything until its yours ( beyond *possibly* determining who did the flash! ) then you could theoretically flash it back, but the tuner may ask you to pay to have the software and vin be updated to include a new owner. they will rarely "do" anything for free.

Car got sold to a dealer who was looking for one for a customer. I m sure the dealer will make a nice profit which is ok as that s what they do.

Thanks for the help
