Is there anything to look for in the ppi as a red flag to know if something is a miss.

Don't buy a modded car

I'm surprised... I've always thought rennlist to be more of a purist site and 6so as the mod one.

I would have thought there to be more nay-sayers here.

1st scenario. You buy a stock car, get bored with it after a few months, then spend $10k modding it.
2nd scenario. You buy a modded car, discover several issues after a few months, then spend $10k fixing it.
Either way, prepare to spend a lot more than the sale price.

right. closer to 20k+ if new parts are used to mod.

or buy the modded car with a known provenance ( as best you can ) and any mods to the car are ten year old time honored right vs wrong in sequential upgrades if done properly. up to you to figure out what "properly" means,.. and have a war chest because chit breaks regardless. even dock and rmcs cars would break bits here and there if they drove them.. more. lol

all the pus**ies that are afraid of mods are too busy polishing their shift *****. these cars have been modded safely to 500/600 rwhp... FOR a DECADE or more lol

blown motors are rarely if ever found on a bolt on car. period. absent meth and all those shenanigans as noted above.

my car is rwd 575/600 rwhp and NOTHING is broken,.. or about to break. rock chips just show i care @ 130K miles btw ( not for NOTHIN' ) lol

My 996t is stock and have had over 3 years still like it as much as first day. Excluding clearbra maybe 1500 spent. Buy what you like and take care of it= maintenance is key. Mark I keep your name out of my posts and once again you know nothing about me or what cars I own or what's done to them. Every time I think your done with the stupid talk it starts again.

my name isn't "mark". it is a nom de plume, smart guy. is your name rmc?! i have never uttered your name unless that's it. it's your screen name! or did you accidentally use your own name as your screen name? i can see that happening. mark is my middle SCREEN name. your is.. ****** but i wont further insult you, though you've cornered the market on stupid talk ( again ) but adieu, and good day to you sir lol

btw. not MY fault you have glove box envy LOL. deal with it.

You want to know the service history on the gearbox. If driven hard these cars shed teeth off 3rd gear like they are a shark. Very few listen to my advice but I suggest completely replacing 3rd gear every 50k mi. You can find pictures of what happens to the guys who don't servicevthfm on 6spo. Lots of the guys with the gt2rs mainshaft upgrade are also 3rd gear failure victims even if they never posted about it.

You are incredibly ignorant.

And I guarantee you that I could find about 10 things wrong with your car in about 25 minutes of looking at it.

As for Doc driving his car...I think he's done a few more miles than you chump.

i dont have one but was last was dyno'd by the guys at speed gallery when the 1.2 tune and 16/24's were added where the car was serviced ( and still is for "major" non driveway work ) so it's a guesstimate but am told I'm safely btw 575 and 600whp ( but 600 maybe/probably when I've had a cpl beers )

i dont have any fuel beyond using the 5 bar. but interestingly, there's a recent thread on 6 from 996tt550hp and i think he just got 564awhp? and i'm similarly modded but running rwd with maybe a cpl more parts ( plenum? ) and 24's hotside.

i'm thinking of actually going to this new place in torrance that can dyno and the rollers are setup for rwd testing. i'm curious to see hard data also! though my parts combo has been tested a lot since its so "common".

"incredibly ignorant?" now THAT'S "incredible:" lol. assuming you know the meaning of the word?

so.. that depends, but no you wouldn't. beyond cosmetic that is. if you'd like to be more specific? or an ad hoc blanket misstatement is fine too. moronic.
